And once again at the end of your post:

"So if you think that you are so very clever for worshiping the son of a virgin, born in winter, who died, was buried, and arose from the dead, there's some bad news. You are quite unoriginal."

A strong claim like that can only be made when one accepts the underlying "facts" that support it, of which you have taken on faith to be true without any validation.

So excuse me if I seem harsh, but to criticize religious people for accepting facts on faith is a bit hypocritical.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4908864535075885670.post-55312202316982066212008-06-04T16:41:00.000-04:002008-06-04T16:41:00.000-04:00Hi there, thanks for posting. As I’ve asked before, please pick a name when you post anonymously so that I can refer to you as something a tad more unique than “Anonymous”.

As per the content of your post, I didn’t mean to suggest that I find no faults with this video. Neither do I mean to use it as a tenet of my personal philosophy. It seemed to me an interesting viewpoint, one worth exploring. Now perhaps you’re correct with regards to the scholarly claims that it makes. I readily admit that my time for research is limited. Having watched it thought about it some more, I can see that it is a somewhat lazy video in regards to logic.

Despite your charming words, I am not the type to believe something “because someone told [me] its [sic] true”. I’ll do some more reading when I can, and maybe post something on the main page.

The reason this blog went up, my dear commenter, is because I value honesty and truth above all other virtues. If I have erred in this regard, I apologize.Atheoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05993169588782386882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4908864535075885670.post-99451037053760582008-06-01T21:30:00.000-04:002008-06-01T21:30:00.000-04:00Maybe if you took it upon yourself to do an ounce ...Maybe if you took it upon yourself to do an ounce of research, you would find that all these claims have been easily refuted. I am truly astonished at your immediate acceptance of all the "facts" on the Christian-Pagan parallel jargon spread on the internet. It surprises me how simple-minded you are.

All of the facts that hold this argument together (already a weak argument as it is) fall flat on their face as they all rely on greatly exaggerated or purely fabricated work.

Hopefully you will learn that you shouldn't just accept something because somebody told you its true (oh wait, wasn't that the whole reason why this blog went up?)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
